This monograph on Mexican painter and muralist Saturnino Herran (1887-1918) is considered to be the best work about the artist. Published in 1994 in a limited edition of 10,000 copies, it is currently quite scarce. The over-sized book (12 x 13.25 inches, 199 pp) includes 129 color illustrations - most full-page - and 30 black and white images. Twenty of the illustrations are full-size details which enable the reader to see the brushstrokes. Also included are a biography of the artist by Victor Munoz, an analysis of the composition of his works, a chronology of his work, and a bibliography of related material.
